The gate of Apocalypse

After several utopian visions, the visitor discovers the gate of the Apocalypse. A representation of the Apocalypse is rather surprising in a panorama dedicated to the Utopias. Unless that the hidden message of this part of the panorama is for saying that the Apocalypse is only one Utopia which will never occur?
