Namur The 24th November 1996

To Mister the inspector
of the High Studies of the institute of Sociology
of the Free University of Bruxelles.

    Sir,

Knowing you scholar and man of letters, I made a point of subjecting a thorny problem to you which I do not manage to only elucidate.

As you know it, I am since a long time interested by all that relates to Poland. However, a young friend of Cracow, working with the museums Gortoryski and Matejko, asked me to draw up a short report about statues discovered in the area, from February to March of the last year.

Here are the facts: in the Wola Justowska park, workmen of the commune, charged to build an adventure playground, updated a curious staircase which was inserted under the ground. This one not being mentioned with the cadastral register, some archaeological excavations were quickly (and badly) carried out, excavations which did not give anything interesting from this point of view. No publication was devoted besides to these excavations.

The emmarchement of Wola Justowska. The paintings which decorated the walls were unfortunately destroyed by vandals.
