Perfect example of what someone do not hesitate to call Bruxellisation, the Madou Tower has been the subject of all the attention of many obscure researchers for a few years and because of the succession of strange events which are linked to it.

   Everything started at the end of the year 2001, following a project of extension of the Tower, a committee of district is created, outraged to learn that this project requires the demolition of many houses in the neighbourhoods, including among those some dated from 1780. The committee writes a petition claiming the stop of the project and the urbanistic protection of the inheritance of the district. However, it would seem that the request was refused. The neighbourhoods of the Tower are more at present only one enormous building site which recalls to many the older events.

   The reasons which have against all odds all pushed the various contractors to continue the project remains however very obscure. Why having destructed a whole district whereas the only official reason remains the cleaning of the amiant of the Tower and the restoration of its appearance?

   But the strange events do not stop there. At the beginning of 2003, whereas work is in hand, a quite mysterious police operation is carried out on the spot. The official reason is a control of the services of the social laws and environment. During this control, nearly 91 people were the object of an identity check. The final report mentions that no infringement with the legislation was noted.

   Why this eagerness to transform a building dating from the years 1960? Why this will to destroy a whole district for this project? Which real will hid behind the control of police forces? The true goal of this control would not it have aimed at checking the presence of people of obscure origin on the spot?

   The Madou Tower hides certainly still many secrecies which it would be more than time to discover before the authorities definitively erase all traces of them...
